I should have listened to my gut. All I wanted to do was save a few hundred bucks a year in this lousy economy. That’s it.
After 4 long years, AT&T High-Speed finally became available in my suburban area. I received a coupon in the mail for an offer of High-Speed DSL service for $18.00 a month.
Less than two days after it was installed, my HP computer fried. And here’s a surprise; the suits at AT&T corporate take no responsibly for the virus or whatever it was that took my 2.5 year old PC down.
So, I had to buy a new one. That was a $529.00 out of pocket that was not expected as part of the new High-Speed service that I purchased.

Did I mention the fact that during the install, AT&T told me to turn my anti-virus off?
They did. Now, in their wonderfully complex terms of service clusterf, they say that, “They make no warranty or guarantee for the AT&T Anti-Virus Security Suite whether or not it’s active.” Fun. I never used it. I turned off mine. That’s what they told me to do.
I’ve been given the runaround for the past 2 weeks in typical corporate fashion.
Do you have any ideas?
This was no coincidence.
Thanks!
